Weekend full of unpleasent news

Okay so it actually started Friday afternoon but that is close enough to the weekend to count. I had my American Poetry exam on Friday and thought that it went fine. Once I finished I got my final essay back for the course and now do not know how to feel about the exam since the teacher seems to mark randomly. So back to the paper I got a C+ which is okay but then I lost 20% for being under the word limit so I failed the paper. This means that I have to pass the final to pass the class and I do not know how the teacher marks so I have no idea if I passed the final or not. I was really disappointed and not happy at all since I have never failed anything before.

Saturday I found out that my friend is not doing so well.

Sunday morning was awesome, Pastor Joe preached an awesome sermon that gave me a new perspective on the last few days. I studied during the afternoon for my exams this week then went back to church for the evening service. At the evening service I found out about the shootings in Colorado and that the church they occurred at is the same one that a family in our congregation used to attend and is the same one that the Bevere's attend, Lisa Bevere was the speaker at the women's conference that I attended a few weeks ago. Our church has a strong connection with the Bevere's and so their church feels like our church. So learning about the shootings was not the greatest way to end the weekend and start a new week especially since the details were so sketchy. They still are very vague in the information that has surfaced in the media but at least it is something. Keep praying for the families of those who died, the rest of the congregation, the police to have the wisdom to solve this mystery, and for all others that have been affected by this tragedy. The one positive thing to remember when you think of this tragic event is that it means God is working since the devil felt threatened to the point where he had to take action and try to break the momentum of the movement of God in Colorado.

Well I had best get back to studying and preparing for finals.
